University of Medicine and Pharmacy at Ho Chi Minh City (UMP) was founded in 1947 and is the primary state Health University in Ho Chi Minh City. It is a multi-faculty university offering undergraduate, post-graduate taught and post-graduate research degrees in Medicine, Pharmacy, Traditional Medicine, Public Health, Dentistry, and Nursing and Medical Technology. The University has its own teaching hospital located in central Ho Chi Minh City. Internationalisation strategy aims to establish bilateral/multilateral collaborative ties with pharmaceutical universities and industry at both regional and global levels to enhance its research and teaching capacity through diverse cooperation activities in staff and student exchange, joint research projects and dual pharmacist programmes.
